Our Story...
Connor and I met when we both ended up at a Singing School in Abilene, TX back in 2007. We kept in touch as the years went by, he and I had found a liking to each other but we knew it wouldn't work because he was 14 and I was 15, we lived 5 hours apart and we also did not have drivers licenses.. about 5 years later I felt obligated to text him as I saw he and his girlfriend had broken up, not because I wanted to be his next girlfriend but because I knew he had been with her a while and I wanted to check up on him. Turns out he was totally fine and it was him that broke up with her.. haha! We talked a lot after that one text and about a month later he asked me to be his girlfriend over skype. He stilled lived in the Houston area so yeah, it was going to be long distance, but he also wanted to work to make it right with me. He was in the drumline at Lamar University so I made it almost a priorty, at least once or twice during football season, I would be in the stands watching and supporting him as he played.
Two years later, I drove down from Arkansas, where I went to school so I could be at his last game od the year and attend his junior recital, little did I know how big that night would really be for the both of us! After his Junior Percussion Recital, he pulled me up to the front and got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. Of course I said yes! Over the next two and half years, we focused on finishing school and then started wedding planning.
June 11, 2016, I became a band directors wife, and it was the best thing that's ever happened to me.
Currently, we live in Orange, Texas in a cute little house. We have no kids, but one fur baby named Raider, he is a dachshund/yorkie mix {dorkie}. He is a handful sometimes and a spoiled little thing! When Connor is not busy with band he is at home with his wife and pup. We love date nights at the movies, and we love hanging with friends and family! When he is busy with band, I am 99% there supporting him and helping in any way I can. I love being a band director wife, and I hope you enjoy reading about it!
Sincerely,
The Band Director Wife
